Heads of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye held talks in “Avaza”

The issues of developing cooperation in the energy sector were discussed by the heads of the relevant departments of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye during a meeting held today in the «Avaza» National Tourist Zone on the eve of the first trilateral summit.

It is expected that the upcoming first meeting of the heads of state of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye, which will result in the signing of a number of important agreements, will give new impetus to the development of relations in the strategic energy sector of the trilateral partnership.

As part of the preparations for the high-level talks, the heads of the energy departments of the three countries considered certain aspects of multifaceted cooperation built on a long-term, mutually beneficial basis, the implementation of previously reached agreements, as well as the possibility of implementing new joint projects.

The parties came to the unanimous opinion that the great prospects for expanding partnerships in the energy sector make it necessary to establish coordinated international cooperation based on legal norms, mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests.

In this regard, confidence was expressed that the upcoming summit of the heads of state of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye would be an important step on this path, directly contributing to the strengthening of the established constructive dialogue between friendly countries and their fraternal peoples, traditionally linked by ties of friendship, mutual understanding and trusting partnership.
