On January 21, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Khodzhakuli Narliev turned 85 years old.

Graduate of the camera department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography.

The first work of H. Narliyev in the cinema was the film directed by Bulat Mansurov “Shukur-Bagshi”, released in 1963.

Narliev’s directorial debut was the film “The Daughter-in-Law”, filmed in 1972. This film and the following “When a woman saddles a horse”, “Know how to say no”, “Dzhemal tree”, “Mankurt” that followed it brought fame and glory to the director.

Later, like many other well-known Turkmen filmmakers, Khodzhakuli Narliev left the country.
