Houses near Tekinsky Bazaar will be demolished in Ashgabat. An International Treatment and Rehabilitation Center will be built in their place

In Ashgabat, preparations are underway for the demolition of residential buildings near the Tekinsky bazaar, where a medical center will be built, Turkmen news reports .

The first to be demolished are houses on Azadi Street and Atamurat Niyazov Avenue. Also, buildings and houses on the site up to MOPR street and Kopetdag stadium are subject to demolition, the newspaper writes.

The demolition of these and many other houses and buildings throughout the city became known in July 2021, when plans for the development of the capital were shown to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov .

According to the footage shown at the time, the Tekinsky Bazaar will be retained, but the buildings and parking lot at least two blocks west of the market will be demolished. A public garden and a complex of buildings of the International Medical and Rehabilitation Center will be built in their place.

On the other side of the intersection of A. Niyazov Avenue and Gerogly Street there is a hospital with a scientific and clinical center of cardiology.
