Radio Azatlyk has posted a video featuring residents lining up to buy bread and flour in Dashoguz.
As one can hear from conversations in the video, people have congregated in front of the shop hoping to buy bread. One can overhear people saying flour, chorek and hopefully there will be enough bread. According to an eye witness, there were about 600 to 700 people in the queue on that day, � the news outlet reports.
The video was sent to the editorial office of Azatlyk on 4 October whereas on 5 October Deputy Prime Minister overseeing trade Chary Gylydzhov briefed President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov on further measures which are being undertaken to ensure abundance of groceries.
The Minister was quoted as saying: A set of measures is being undertaken to attract suppliers, assist them with concluding contracts, transportation and storage of their produce. Other measures include the initiatives committed to meeting the demand for high quality and affordably food products and extending the retail trade system.
