Hungary’s Prime Minister Sends Congratulatory Message to Azerbaijan’s President on Independence Day

Budapest: Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from Prime Minister Orban highlighted the exemplary cooperation between Hungary and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the expanding economic and political relations between the two nations. Orban expressed satisfaction with Azerbaijan's role as an enhanced strategic partner of Hungary, particularly noting its commitment to increasing energy supplies to Europe, which contributes significantly to Hungary's energy security.

The letter also referenced a recent meeting between the leaders, where President Aliyev assured Hungary of the necessary gas supplies from Azerbaijan. Orban commended Aliyev for this assurance and reaffirmed Hungary's commitment to strengthening the bilateral partnership and maintaining high-level dialogue.

Concluding his message, Orban extended his best wishes to President Aliyev, expressing hope for continued success and good health in his duties.
