Hydrometeorological centers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan warn of intense heat in areas bordering Turkmenistan

According to the Meteozhurnal publication, the hydrometeorological centers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan warn citizens about extreme heat for a week in the regions bordering Turkmenistan.

According to Uzhydromet , on July 17-22, the removal of hot air from Iran to the territory of Uzbekistan through Turkmenistan will increase. In this regard, the air temperature in the daytime will rise: in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya regions up to 44-47 degrees.

Kazhydromet has announced the maximum level of weather danger in the southwestern and southern regions of the country. Temperatures of 40 to 45 degrees are expected in the Mangistau region bordering Turkmenistan.

The Meteorological Journal warns that this week will be extremely hot in Turkmenistan. In most regions, the air temperature will stay at the level of 41 to 46 degrees, and in some places it will reach 47-48 degrees of heat.

According to the study of the publication, in recent decades, temperatures of 44 degrees and above have been increasingly recorded in Turkmenistan. In Ashgabat, over the past 50 years, the number of such days has increased by almost 37%.

Especially many hot days were observed in 2015-2021. At the same time, the trend indicates that the average temperature will only increase.
