In Kazan, people were not allowed to Sabantuy during the visit of Berdymukhamedov

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a one-day official visit to Tatarstan, during which, together with his colleague Rustam Minnikhanov, he attended celebrations on the occasion of the national holiday Sabantui. According to Turkmen media reports, exhibitions of books from Turkmenistan were organized in Sabantui, including those written by the president himself.

At some point in the village of Mirny, it was decided to temporarily close the entrance to the venue. Later, the head of the Kazan Executive Committee Denis Kalinkin apologized for this situation, the InKazan edition reported July 24.

According to him, the entrance was closed for security reasons: despite the fact that four celebrations were organized, they were filled to the limit. In the Birch Grove in Mirny the audience stood even in the aisles.

In Mirniy, the flow of people turned out to be such that at a certain moment it was decided to suspend access to the site for the sake of security. I apologize to all those whose holiday was spoiled, he said.

In total, the Kazan sites of Sabantui were visited by about 196 thousand people.
