Industrial Workers Days Established in Turkmenistan

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree; with a view to honoring the conscientious endeavors of the workers of the national industry and communication spheres towards developing this complex, boosting production and improving the quality of goods and services, the document prescribes the following:

1. Industrial Workers Day shall be established and marked annually on the third Sunday of October.

2. The Ministry of Industry and Communication, the Ministry of Textile Industry and Turkmenhimiya State Concern shall organize the celebration of Industrial Workers Day on the highest level.

3. The Ministry of Industry and Communication, the Ministry of Textile Industry and Turkmenhimiya State Concern shall collaborate with the Ministry of Justice to draft and submit, within one month, to the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan the proposals on legislative amendments and additions ensuing from this Decree.

4. The Decree of the President of Turkmenistan of 17 March 2017 on establishing Transport and Communication Workers Day;

the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan of 5 April 2017 on establishing Chemical Industry Workers Day

shall be repealed.
