A special integrated center for types of services for participants in foreign economic activity has been created in a pilot mode in the Baku Main Customs Administration. All services provided in the center are performed on the principle of "one window" based on the electronic queue system. "Citizens will be able to use filling out declarations, payment of customs duties, elimination of difficulties in the process of registration, preparation of documents, information services," the press and public relations department of the State Customs Committee said in a statement. It is also possible to conduct operations in the center related to other state institutions - the State Tax Service, the Food Security Agency of Azerbaijan and the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Businesses. In order to ensure comfort and accessibility, a computer and a printer, payment terminals, information boards, an electronic terminal, telephones for operational communication with customs officers are installed in the center. "The applied innovation will make it possible to flexibly carry out the customs clearance process, save the time of foreign trade participants, increase mutual trust in the relations of citizens and officials," the SCC message says.
