International Day of Neutrality Essay Contest invites participants

The School of Young Diplomats of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan is holding an essay contest on the topic «National model of Turkmen neutrality: a recognized principle of peacemaking», organized on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality.

 

High school students from schools in Ashgabat and velayats of the country – members of the School of Young Diplomats of the university are invited to participate in the competition. Those wishing to take part in the competition must send their essays on a given topic to the email address parahatchylygynchaparlary@gmail.com before November 15 of the current year. There are no special requirements for essays submitted for the competition. The results of the creative competition will be summed up and announced by the jury on November 30, 2022.

 

The winners of the competition – the authors of the best works will be awarded valuable gifts from the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and diplomas of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

 

The competition is held in order to widely promote the country’s foreign policy, to form, stimulate and develop cognitive interest in the study of progressive domestic and foreign policy of the state among the youth, as well as to identify the most talented and capable students.

 

International Day of Neutrality is celebrated around the world on December 12 every year. It was established on the initiative of Turkmenistan, announced in December 2015 in Ashgabat as part of an international conference that was timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality. As a result, on February 2, 2017, the UN General Assembly approved a resolution proclaiming December 12 as the International Day of Neutrality. Remind that on the same day, in 1995, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the permanent neutrality of our country.
