International University of Humanities and Development invites Mathematics Olympiad

Students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries are invited to participate in the Open Mathematics Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions (OMOUS-2023) held by the International University of Humanities and Development.

The Olympiad is held among high school students who are interested in mathematics and want to demonstrate their academic skills in an international examination. There is no limit to the number of students who can participate in the Olympiad.

The competition will be held from April 23 to April 29 this year at the International University of Humanities and Development in Ashgabat. The Olympics will be held in the form of individual and team competitions.

Individual competitions will divide the participants into two groups: students specializing in mathematics and computer science and students studying other fields in higher schools. Competitors will be offered 6 problems and 240 minutes (4 hours) to solve them.

Student teams will participate in team competitions, regardless of their major, with no more than 4 people in each team. Teams will be given 10 tasks to complete in 120 minutes (2 hours).

The official languages of the Olympiad are Turkmen and English. The results of student competitions in mathematics will be announced at the closing ceremony of the Olympiad.

We should also mention that the International University of Humanities and Development University (OMOUS) is holding the Open Mathematics Olympiad for the fourth year. The holding of the Olympiad made it possible to significantly expand cooperation between higher schools, make it more effective and productive, assess the level of students' preparation in the subject, and identify the most capable and talented students. The Olympiad is popular among students and is expanding every year.

Last year, OMOUS-2022 brought together more than 700 young mathematicians: more than 200 students from 19 universities of the country and about 500 students from 85 universities from more than 40 countries of the world. Among them are Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Romania, Poland, Greece, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, China, India and other countries.
