Internet traffic will go to Turkmenistan through Kazakhstan

An agreement of intent to build a cable border crossing and docking of telecommunication networks on the border of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan was signed in Ashgabat by Jusan Mobile JSC and Turkmentelecom State Enterprise. The ceremony was attended by the presidents of both countries - Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev , reported on October 25

The implementation of this project is aimed at mutually beneficial cooperation in the development of international telecommunications business.

“The junction of telecommunication networks in the area of the Temir-Baba border crossing will become one of the stages of integration of telecommunication networks of the two countries and will allow the passage of mutual voice traffic, organize Internet traffic through the network of Jusan Mobile JSC to the networks of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Iran, as well as to provide transit for Turkmenistan, using the potential of Kazakhstan, in the direction of Russia, Europe and the countries of Southeast Asia, "Jusan Mobile JSC said in a statement.

A day earlier , the head of Kazakhstan arrived in Turkmenistan on a two-day state visit .
