Yerevan: The investigation into the criminal case against Major General Armen Arutyunyan, the former chief of the Department of Rocket Forces and Artillery of Armenia's Armed Forces, has been halted. Arutyunyan was arrested for purchasing unusable rockets worth over 1 million dollars in Armenia.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the investigation did not find a criminal element in Arutyunyan's actions. His arrest took place in June 2022, but the recent developments indicate that the charges against him may not proceed further.
The case had attracted attention due to the significant financial value involved in the alleged purchase of unusable military equipment. However, with the suspension of the investigation, it appears that the legal proceedings against Arutyunyan may come to an end without further action.
