Investments in Fixed Capital in Azerbaijan Decrease by 4.6% in Early 2025

Baku: In January-April of this year, 5,069.3 million manats were directed to fixed capital in Azerbaijan, which is 4.6% less compared to the same period of the previous year, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the four months, investments in the oil and gas sector decreased by 22.7%, while investments in the non-oil and gas sector increased by 5.3%. Of the utilized investments, 2,578.8 million manats (50.9%) were allocated to production sectors, 1,627.6 million manats (32.1%) to service sectors, and 862.9 million manats (17.0%) to residential construction. Domestic investments accounted for 3,772.4 million manats or 74.4% of the total investments directed to fixed capital. Out of the total investments, 3,969.3 million manats or 78.3% were used directly for construction and installation work.
