Iranian President will fly to Ashgabat to participate in the ECO Summit

On November 28, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will visit Ashgabat, where he will take part in the 15th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit, Financial Tribune reports .

At the Summit, the President will present Iran’s position and proposals on expanding regional and international relations, and will also meet with his counterparts from other countries to discuss bilateral cooperation.

ECO members are 10 countries – Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan. This year the organization is chaired by Turkmenistan.

On November 28, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also visit Turkmenistan .

The preparations for the Summit were reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the meetings on November 15 and 22.
