Issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU in the agricultural sector were discussed in Ashgabat

The fifth working meeting of the Steering Committee of the European Union's project Promoting Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development in Turkmenistan - SARD III took place in Ashgabat.

The SARD III project is aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship in the agro-industrial complex, introducing international standards and advanced technologies.

During the meeting, it was noted that within the framework of the project international experts supported agricultural producers, as well as organized their study and business trips to the UK and the Netherlands.

For Turkmen entrepreneurs working in the agro-industrial complex, technical guidelines on fish farming, dairy farming, apple cultivation, and export of agricultural products have been prepared, which will soon be posted on the project's web page .

The participants of the meeting stressed that the SARD III project contributes to the transition of agriculture of Turkmenistan to the standards adopted by European countries, which will significantly increase the production and export of Turkmen agricultural products.
