Issues of developing transport cooperation in the Turkmenistan-OSCE format discussed in Vienna

Vienna hosted a regional conference in a hybrid format on the topic "Turkmenistan - OSCE: regional cooperation in the development of transport and logistics." The meeting was organized by the delegation of Turkmenistan to the OSCE together with the office of the coordinator of economic and environmental activities of the OSCE, as well as the OSCE Center in Ashgabat.

The conference was attended by delegations of the OSCE member states, representatives of the UN, other international and regional organizations, as well as private companies working in the field of transport and logistics. During the meeting, the relevance of continuing the political dialogue to ensure interaction between all modes of transport and the creation of sustainable multimodal transit corridors was noted.

The Turkmen side acquainted the participants of the conference with the programs and initiatives of Ashgabat in the field of sustainable transport and logistics. In particular, it was reported about the adopted "Program for the development of transport diplomacy of Turkmenistan for 2022-2025". The delegation of Turkmenistan also informed the participants of the meeting about the preparations for holding an international transport conference of landlocked developing countries in the country in August this year.
