Issues of the first Caspian Economic Forum discussed in the capital of Turkmenistan

An international media forum was held in Ashgabat on the issues of holding the first Caspian Economic Forum, which will be held on August 12 of this year in the Avaza national tourist zone.

The meeting, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, was attended by representatives of the media of the Caspian littoral countries - Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Russia. During the media forum, leaders and representatives of Turkmen ministries, departments and the media told the guests about the upcoming first Caspian Economic Forum and Turkmenistan's vision of developing economic cooperation between the countries of the Caspian region.

The agenda of the first Caspian Economic Forum will cover a wide range of issues that will later form the basis of promising areas of interaction between coastal states. It is assumed that such important topics as the role of the economy of the Caspian region in the global dimension, strengthening the investment attractiveness of industry, energy, trade, tourism and other sectors of the economy of the Caspian states of mutual interest will be proposed for consideration by the forum participants

Along with the main events of the forum, the programs of the international conference and the Caspian exhibition of innovative technologies are being worked out.

The initiative to hold the first Caspian Economic Forum in Turkmenistan was made by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the V summit of the heads of the Caspian littoral states in Aktau, Kazakhstan. According to the head of state, this forum should become a permanent platform for multilateral economic dialogue and be held on a regular basis alternately in each of the Caspian littoral states.
