Istanbul: Organized by Istanbul Trkiye Azerbaijan Solidarity and Culture Association (ISTAD), an event marking the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day has been held in Istanbul, Trkiye. The gathering commenced with the performance of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Trkiye, followed by a minute of silence to honor the martyrs of the two fraternal countries. Addressing the event, Istanbul's Kadiköy governor Muhittin Pamuk, ISTAD Chairman Safar Garagoyunlu and others highlighted the importance of the event, shedding light into the glorious path of Azerbaijan towards independence, as well as the Azerbaijan-Trkiye brotherhood. The speakers also underscored the unparalleled services and exceptional contributions of Great Leaders Heydar Aliyev and Mustafa Kemal Atatrk in shaping the free and prosperous lives of the two nations. The speakers described the past hundred years as a century of revival for both Azerbaijan and Trkiye, despite all the challenges. The event concluded with a concert program. According to Hajiyev, currently, talks on the diplomatic level are ongoing between Azerbaijan and Armenia. 'We do not see any serious obstacles to concluding a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is a little difficult to talk about specific dates, since further negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia are still necessary to complete the process,' he said. Source: Trend News Agency
