Previously, as a separate discipline, "Italian" was successfully introduced into the curriculum of the Ashgabat secondary specialized school No. 85. Starting from the fifth grade, schoolchildren studied the basic rules of pronunciation, grammar and writing of a foreign language.
Within the framework of recent refresher courses on the topic of innovative pedagogical methods of teaching the Italian language, the teachers of the aforementioned specialized school shared their experience in teaching this language with colleagues.
Now an additional subject will be included in the schedule of five more specialized schools located in the regions of the country. So, from the new 2022-2023 academic year, the “Italian language” will be studied in schools in the Akhal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats.
Today, in various specialized schools, students study Russian, English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, French, Persian and Arabic. Italian, which is one of the most popular foreign languages in the world, has become the tenth in the program of language subjects.
The introduction of the new discipline was carried out in accordance with the phased implementation of the Concept for improving the teaching of foreign languages, approved in December 2017.
