Kazakhstan celebrates today, August 30, one of its main state holidays, the Constitution Day, Kazinform reports. This year marks the 28th anniversary of the Kazakh Constitution. The Constitution, the basic law of Kazakhstan, was adopted at a national referendum on August 30, 1995. According to the Constitution, Kazakhstan claims to be a democratic, secular, legal state, the highest values of which are the individual, his life, rights and freedoms. A republican referendum on amendments to the Constitution was held on June 5, 2022 to become of the most important and momentous events for our country.
