Kazakhstan pulling out all stops to enhance its investment landscape – PM

Kazakhstan is undertaking major efforts to improve its investment climate, said Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov at a meeting of the National Entrepreneurs Council, with the participation of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken,” Trend reports. ‘The government is focused on enhancing the investment climate, unlocking the country’s industrial potential, addressing infrastructure issues, and developing the real sector of the economy. At the same time, large businesses play a crucial role in technological and innovative development, creating opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises,’ he said. Bektanov also noted that Kazakhstan’s government, in collaboration with “Atameken,” is developing a new methodology to determine the share of domestic content in goods, services, and works. He emphasized that the new mechanism will encourage the growth of local businesses and be more equitable. Relevant agencies have been instructed to expedite their work. During the meeting, the sides also addressed the expansion of artificial intelligence systems, digital technology development, and the importance of advancing tourism, housing and utilities, and ‘green’ financing for environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and low-carbon projects.
