The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Monday tumbled eleven-point-23 points, or zero-point-56 percent, to close at two-thousand-eight-point-19 as the Choi Soon-sil scandal caused investors to be cautious.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ plunged 15-point-49 points, or two-point-42 percent, to 624-point-68.
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened zero-point-four won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-144-point-five won.
