The Dayanch Children's Sanatorium of the National Center of trade unions in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, where, as it was previously reported, on May 15, children from different regions of neighboring Uzbekistan arrived at the invitation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov for 10-day-long recreation, hosted sports and creative contests.
Athletics led off sports calendar of children, resting on the ecologically clean Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea. Teams of Turkmen and Uzbek boys and girls, formed by groups of children's health center, competed in the 200-meter relay of four stages. Guests from Uzbekistan won in the junior dash, who occupied the whole symbolic victory podium. Among girls, the Turkmen schoolgirls excelled on racetracks. Their herd mates from the fraternal country took the second and third positions.
The long jump continued field-and-track competitions. Among boys, Uzbek guys prevailed in this event, gaining twice the lead. The Turkmen jumpers completed the top three winners. In this event, the Turkmen girls performed successfully again, their Uzbek friends were the third in the list of winners.
Young fans applauded all the winners and awardees, participating in joy of success and victory.
In the evening, the Dayanch CHC's cultural-entertaining center hosted the creative contest Path of perfection. On stage, gifted children from all velayats and the capital of our country, and their new friends from Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara and Navoisk regions of brotherly Uzbekistan presented extemporaneous shows. Performances of young talents ended with the rousing dance kushdepdi, performed by Balkan ensemble.
