The conference hall of the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography hosted the media forum “International Initiatives of Turkmenistan: New Horizons of Cooperation”, dedicated to the results of the International Conference of Ministers of Transport of Landlocked Developing Countries.

The main topic of the forum, held in a hybrid format in Turkmen, Russian and English, is the role of the media in further strengthening international cooperation. The meeting was attended by heads and representatives of national and foreign TV and radio channels, news agencies, newspapers and magazines. Among the participants of the media forum are journalists from TASS, Anadolu news agencies, TV channels TRT, Russia-24, Mir, the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, etc.

The participants of the meeting discussed the initiatives of Turkmenistan put forward at the international transport conference held on August 15-16 in the Avaza national tourist zone. In particular, the relevance of Ashgabat's proposals to create a special working group under the auspices of the UN, which would purposefully defend the interests of developing countries with no access to the sea, as well as to develop a resolution of the UN General Assembly on increasing the role of these countries in the development of global transport cooperation, was noted.

Representatives of foreign media especially noted the high level of technical support and the creation of good conditions for the work of journalists, thanks to which detailed information about the work of the conference was promptly provided to the global audience. In this regard, the participants of the meeting discussed the trends in the development of the media, the forms and methods of work of journalists covering important international events.
