A large batch of hashish worth more than 633 million soms was seized in Jalal-Abad region. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Investigators stopped the activities of a group engaged in the supply and distribution of drugs of Afghan origin in the region.
Three members of the group were detained while trying to sell drugs near Bazar-Korgon district on July 23. The men arrived at the meeting point in two cars — VAZ-2107 and VAZ-2106. During the search, a polymer bag with the narcotic drug «hashish» of Afghan origin was found and seized. Its weight with packaging was 1.29 kilogram.
A criminal case was initiated on the fact under article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic «Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs for the purpose of sale».
The detainees were placed in a temporary detention facility. In case of entry of the seized drugs into the illegal market, the detainees intended to get about 633,864 million soms.
Further operational and investigative measures are being taken to identify other people involved in the crime.
