Microsoft expands its activity in Turkmenistan

The decision of one of the largest IT corporation of the world to open official representative in Turkmenistan, what actually happened in August 2015 was based on preliminary analyses and high appraisal given by the experts of the company to rapidly developing market of the country and requirements for high technology efficient solutions.

After opening an office in Ashgabat, the company activated the training on top modern information technologies to the customers and partners and introduction of advanced software to Turkmenistan citizens and support of innovative development of key branches.

The company seeks for contributing into promotion of reforms in education system initiated by the Turkmen Leader by support of improvement of learning process and implementation of innovative approaches and methods.

During the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 17, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, having raised the issues of information education of the population, made special mention of the necessity of intensified study of computer skills by young generation starting from initial school.

For successful development of IT branch in the country, the complex approach including training of personnel is necessary. Microsoft offers to introduce study of advanced programme solutions into educational plan of profile universities of Turkmenistan like cloud platform Windows Azure, programme software and application package Microsoft Visual Studio as well as Microsoft Dynamics, the programme helping to optimize and improve operations management. Having an access to innovative technologies, future specialists will be able to apply it in professional activity improving the efficiency of their participation in social and economic development of the country.

Sports sphere is another important direction of cooperation taking into account V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat in September of this year. The company participates in organisation of the infrastructures of the Olympic village by application their programme software.

It is worth mentioning that Microsoft programme solutions were used during 2014 Olympics in Sochi and European Games in Baku in 2015.

The company has great experience of cooperation with the governments of different states and positions itself as perspective and reliable partner of Turkmenistan.

The company also conducts regular trainings on use of advanced IT technologies. Top modern programme software Office 365 for efficient business administration of different management structures was introduced at the seminar organized in March of this year in Ashgabat.

In 2012, the Law on the Copyrights and Related Rights regulating the terms related with creation and use of scientific, literature and arts works (the copyrights), performances, phonograms and videograms, media broadcasting (the related rights) was adopted. In 2016, our country joined Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works.
