Baku: Migration Service appeals to Russian citizens visiting Azerbaijan with new regulations starting January 1, 2025.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Resolution No. 561 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated December 29, 2024, outlines that the period of temporary stay for citizens of the Russian Federation and stateless persons permanently residing there cannot exceed 90 days within a calendar year without a visa.

The State Migration Service of Azerbaijan emphasizes that individuals wishing to stay or reside in Azerbaijan for more than 90 days must apply for an extension or a temporary residence permit before their temporary stay expires, provided there are valid grounds as per the legislation. This requirement applies to those arriving in Azerbaijan starting January 1, 2025, ensuring compliance with the new regulation.
