The main areas of cooperation within the framework of the programme “Promoting Transparency and Action against economic crimes in Central Asia” were discussed during an online meeting held at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan with the representatives of the European Union.
As emphasized, the European Union is sincerely interested in expanding the productive dialogue with Turkmenistan, the EU’s strategic partner. It was noted that due to the constructive policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, our country occupied key positions in Central Asia and demonstrated a high peacekeeping potential in the development of regional and interregional cooperation.
EU experts provided a brief overview of the proposed project. The EU specified the rule of law activities as well as support for economic transparency as a priority area for cooperation.
During the online meeting, it was emphasized that the stability of the economic foundations of our country was achieved due to the efficiency of large-scale reforms and transformations, and EU new approaches to partnership would promote further development of joint work.
