The Education Ministry is close to wrapping up its audit into a key element of the Choi Soon-sil scandal.
Choi's accusers say she used her friendship with President Park Geun-hye to muscle Ewha University into granting special treatment to her daughter, Chung Yoo-ra.
Auditors are probing whether the school adjusted admissions policy as well as attendance and grading procedures to benefit Chung.
The audit is set to wrap up Tuesday, but an announcement may be delayed to as late as Friday due to Thursday's nationwide college scholastic ability test.
