Moscow Event Celebrates Contemporary Azerbaijani Poetry.

Moscow: An event titled "The Voice of Poetry," dedicated to Azerbaijani literature, was held at the M.I. Rudomino Foreign Literature Library in Moscow. The event focused on contemporary poems by Azerbaijani authors and was organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's representative office in the Russian Federation and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center. It was part of the annual "Night of the Arts" initiative. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Nazim Ismayilzade, Deputy Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's office in Russia, addressed the audience about the storied history of Azerbaijani literature. He emphasized that Azerbaijani poetry has a rich heritage and that modern Azerbaijani poetry reflects current societal trends and needs. The event featured presentations by four young Azerbaijani poets: Gurban Khaligverdili, Gunel Miriyeva, Rana Soltanova, and Kamal Aliyev. They shared a program of poems from their own work as well as from other contemporary authors, showcasing the vibrancy a nd diversity of modern Azerbaijani poetry. The event underscored poetry's ability to connect young poets and readers from a wide array of professional backgrounds, highlighting its universal appeal and significance in cultural exchange.
