At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on April 30, Deputy Prime Minister for Culture and Media Myakhrijemal Mammedova submitted to the President for consideration Serdar Berdimuhamedov for consideration submitted a draft Resolution on approval of the procedure and conditions for granting the legal status "National" to the country's museums

According to the state information agency TDH , this will contribute to the development of cooperation with museums in other countries and the mutual exchange of museum valuables and expositions of funds.

According to Article 12 of the law Turkmenistan “On Museums and Museum Affairs”, the status of “National” can be assigned to “museums with museum funds of national importance, whose activities in the field of culture and museum business are of special state and social significance.”

In February, the procedure and conditions for assigning the legal status of "National" or "Academic" to theaters were approved. This was done to improve theatrical activities, increase the creative potential of theaters and stimulate theater workers.
