The real sector of Kyrgyzstan’s economy in 2023 will show growth above the average. Such a forecast is contained in the report on the monetary policy of the National Bank.
It is noted that by the end of 2023, real GDP growth will be about 3.3 percent, excluding Kumtor — about 4.6 percent. Production at the Kumtor mine is expected to be lower than the previous quarter’s forecasts.
«In a sectoral context, economic growth will be supported by the sectors of agriculture (due to livestock and crop production), industry (due to the resumption of work of idle enterprises and maintaining the stability of output at the existing enterprises), the service and construction sectors. In 2024, the growth rate of real GDP will be about 3.7 percent, excluding Kumtor — about 3.9 percent,» the National Bank says.
