Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held talks with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mahdi Safari.

The meeting discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The parties noted the relevance of the activities of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission for Economic Cooperation and exchanged views on expanding partnerships in the fuel and energy sector and the transport and transit sector.

The diplomats reaffirmed their commitment to the course of strengthening bilateral partnership based on the principles of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual respect.
