New ambassador of Afghanistan appointed in Turkmenistan

On October 8, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Afghanistan to Turkmenistan, Najibullah Alikhil .

According to the state news agency TDH , the parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere and the humanitarian and cultural field.

The topic of TAPI was also touched upon, which, the publication notes, "will become a kind of bridge of friendship and effective cooperation in the region."

It should be noted that on the eve of the Minister of Economy of Afghanistan Mustafa Mastur said that the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline requires $ 12 billion, which previously promised Ashgabat.
