New format of cooperation launched in agrarian sphere

Turkmen Agricultural University had a video conference lecture of representative of National Agrarian University of Armenia (NAUA), Professor Gamlet Martirosyan.

The lesson for student was organized under realization of the Agreement between two universities signed during official visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Armenia in August 2017.

Professor of Plantation and Soil Science of Agronomic Faculty of NAUA has given a lecture on the subject “Modern condition and ways of development of selection and seed production of agricultural crops”.

As example, he brought up scientific achievements of Agrarian University of Armenia, other selection centres of the country in this sphere. After the lecture, Professor Martirosyan answered the questions of Turkmen students and representatives of educational staff who also participated in the lecture.

As a sign of friendly relations and cooperation between two universities, Armenian Professor suggested to send samples of selection materials to Turkmen Agricultural University. He informed that National Agrarian University of Armenia has big fund, which includes more than 1,500 samples of selection materials.

Questions on the methods of education in Agrarian University, number of grain and cereal crops cultivated in Armenia, special features of selection methods and techniques have been asked, on which the Professor gave comprehensive answers.

In the end, representatives of both universities said that they look forward that such lessons would have regular character and confirmed that cooperation in such format would be another expression of friendship and goodwill relations between our countries. Source: Turkmenistan State News Agency-TDH
