New UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan appointed Christine Weigand ( by Christine Weigand ), previously served as deputy head of the representative office in Iran.
Mrs. Weigand handed over her credentials to the Turkmen side on June 24 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the country’s Foreign Ministry, the Turkmen side expressed readiness to assist and support the representative’s activities in all areas related to children’s rights.
Earlier this position held Shaheen Nilofer ( Shaheen Nilofer ).
