No final decision on criminal who committed terrorist act against Azerbaijani Embassy – Iranian judicial system

The criminal case of the person who attacked the embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Iran was submitted to the court, a Spokesperson of the Judicial System and Justice of the Islamic Republic Masoud Satayshi said, APA reports.

Masoud Satayshi noted that the trial has not yet been held and a sentence has not been passed as he commented on the news about the person who committed a terrorist act against the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran being sentenced to death.

Note that the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran has been attacked on January 27 2023. A person armed with a “Kalashnikov” attacked the Azerbaijani Embassy, killed the head of the security service and injured two people. The terrorist was neutralized by another employee of the security service of the Embassy. After that incident, the employees of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran were evacuated.
