Baku: In the January-March period of this year, 1.4 million tons of oil were processed in Azerbaijan. This represents a 12.5% decrease in an annual comparison, the Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 1.6 million tons of oil were processed in Azerbaijan in the January-March period of 2024. Recall that last year, nearly 5.8 million tons of oil were processed in Azerbaijan, which is a 10.8% decrease in an annual comparison.

Note that oil in Azerbaijan is processed at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, which was established in 1953. The refinery (NEZ) fully meets the country's demand for oil products. Currently, reconstruction and modernization work is being carried out at NEZ.
