To maintain public order, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan, by order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has once again announced a tender for the construction of 20 police observation posts in Ashgabat.
The announcement was published in the Türkmenistan newspaper on October 15. Proposals are accepted until November 25.
A year ago, this tender was already extended twice, but then these points were called checkpoints .
On April 3, 2020, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed Deputy Prime Minister for Security Issues Charymyrat Amanov to organize special points that will be entrusted with control over the observance of public order .
As the state information agency TDH reported at that time, checkpoints, in which district police officers will be on duty around the clock, representatives of the service for ensuring public order and traffic supervision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will be created in the most densely populated areas of the capital and regions.
The points are equipped with advanced technologies to strengthen law and order, increase the level of personal and property security of citizens, provide first aid and conduct educational work .
