Surakhani: An explosion occurred shortly after midnight in a yard house located on the Hovsan-Turkan road in the Surakhani district, resulting in a tragic fire incident. The Republican Center for Emergency and Urgent Medical Aid was promptly notified, and emergency services were dispatched to the scene.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the explosion and subsequent fire severely damaged a two-story, four-room house that was functioning as an alcohol production facility. The fire consumed the combustible structures of the entire 200 m² property. During the firefighting efforts, the body of one individual was discovered and handed over to the appropriate authorities. Additionally, a 24-year-old male was severely injured and hospitalized with second- and third-degree burns across multiple areas of his body, including the face, neck, and respiratory tract. He is currently in serious condition and receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit at the Burn Center under the Narimanov Medical Center.

Firefighters managed to protect nearby buildings from the fire, and the blaze was eventually extinguished by units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The incident has prompted an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion and subsequent fire.
