In the third quarter of this year, Azerbaijan's average daily oil production was 486,000 barrels, which is 11,000 barrels more in comparison with the indicator of the second quarter, APA-Economics reports citing the monthly report from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). According to the report, the average daily oil production in Azerbaijan was 475,000 barrels in the second quarter and 477,000 barrels in the first quarter. It is noted that the specified figures for this year were 487,000 barrels in July, 482,000 barrels in August, and 488,000 barrels in September. Note that according to the agreement reached at the 36th meeting of OPEC+ ministers (which includes OPEC and non-OPEC countries involved in oil production cuts), Azerbaijan's production quota for 2024 is set at 551,000 barrels per day (74,259 tons). Thus, in September, Azerbaijan fell short of its quota by 63,000 barrels within the framework of OPEC+, but it increased production by 6,000 barrels compared to August.
