Opera singer Roza Turaeva dies in Ashgabat

On September 3, opera singer, People's Artist of the Turkmen SSR Roza Turaeva died in Ashgabat .

Roza Saparovna Turaeva was born in 1938.

In 1960 she graduated from the school at the State Theater of Opera and Ballet. Makhtumkuli.

After graduating from college and until 1989 - actress of the Turkmen Opera and Ballet Theater named after I. Makhtumkuli. She sang leading roles in Verdi's La Traviata and Rigoletto, Rossini's The Barber of Seville, Offenbach's Beautiful Elena, Bizet's Carmen.

In 2008 she was awarded the Order For Great Love for the Motherland.
