Organization of Turkic States issues statement on so-called ‘presidential elections’ held by puppet regime in Karabakh

The Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has issued a statement on the so-called 'presidential elections' held by the puppet regime established in the territory of Azerbaijan. The statement reads: 'The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States expresses his deep concern relating to so-called 'presidential elections' held on 9 September 2023 by the illegal regime created by Armenia in the Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan. We firmly condemn this provocative act as a severe breach of international law, as well as Azerbaijan's Constitution and laws, which undermines peace and stability in the region. At the same time, we commend Azerbaijan's endeavors to reintegrate the Armenian residents of the Karabakh region into its constitutional system. The Secretary General reiterates that the Karabakh region is the part of Azerbaijan and the Turkic World, and therefore calls to refrain from any actions that could impede the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and urges to engage in constructive dialogue.'
