OSCE Centre organizes training for journalists and civil servants

An OSCE-organized three-day training course Improving channels of communication between state institutions and public through press services took place at the Yyldyz Hotel in Ashgabat. The training course brought together the representatives of the key ministries and institutions in the sphere of economy and management, the law-enforcement agencies as well as journalists.

According to the Head of the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat Natalya Drozd, the Government of Turkmenistan pays significant attention to widening the channels of disseminating information within the country and abroad as well as promoting closer cooperation between government institutions, mass media and the public. The OSCE Centre has established efficient cooperation with the Government to intensify the work of mass media in information support of social national programmes. The main goal of the seminar is to improve the work on holding press conferences and multilateral meetings and optimize the access to information among population.
