The state information agency TDH reported on 8 July, 2019 that the Admissions Offices of Turkmenistan's higher and secondary vocational educational establishments started admitting documents for student enrolment.
According to the media outlet, some 12,242 school graduates are expected to be admitted to universities this year, which is by 3 392 students more compared to the previous year. 8054 people will have to pay tuition fees.
It is reported that Turkmenistan's Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology, which was set up in early June, will launch admissions.
Let us recall that on 5 July, at the Cabinet session to review the performance for the first six months of the year, President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov ordered organizing the admissions process to higher educational institutions in a troublefree manner and instructed that universities switch to feebased education.
