On September 29, the presentation of the new book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Independence is our happiness" began in Turkmenistan, the state information agency TDH reported .

It was presented at the Center of Public Organizations of Turkmenistan. The ceremony, which was attended by the leaders and representatives of the Mejlis and the Khalk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh, public organizations and the media, took place "in an atmosphere of special solemnity," the newspaper notes.

The presentation was also held at the Institute of International Relations, said the Foreign Ministry of the country.

The event was attended by representatives of ministries and departments, scientific intelligentsia, teachers and students, as well as the media. The speakers noted that "the book embodies the large-scale successes achieved by Turkmenistan during the years of independence."

At the meeting of the Khalk Maslahaty on September 25, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov informed the participants that he had finished work on the book “Garassyzlyk - bagtymyz” (“Independence is our happiness”).

The head of state also covered the topic of independence of Turkmenistan in his other works, for example, in the book "Turkmenistan" in 2016 or "Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan" in 2014.
