Baku: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan met with President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, APA reports. President Aliyev expressed his gratitude to President Mnangagwa for attending COP29, emphasizing the visit's importance in strengthening bilateral relations and exploring cooperation opportunities between Azerbaijan and Zimbabwe. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Mnangagwa expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and congratulated President Aliyev on his recent presidential election victory, seeing it as a testament to the trust of the Azerbaijani people. The discussions underscored the robust political relationship between the two nations, focusing on enhancing political consultations and the potential role of economic collaboration. The leaders discussed the vulnerability of developing countries to climate change and explored avenues for cooperation in renewable energy. They also highlighted the importance of forming a working group to develop cooperation in agriculture, edu cation, and other sectors. Additionally, they agreed on the significance of organizing reciprocal visits of delegations to further bilateral ties.
