Helsinki: On November 11, Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Alexander Stubb, President of the Republic of Finland, APA reports. During their meeting, they discussed Finland's upcoming role as the Chairperson of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) for the next year and the 50th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Stubb expressed Finland's support for the ongoing peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan and highlighted his country's interest in furthering this agenda. In response, President Aliyev reiterated Azerbaijan's commitment to the peace process and noted that the OSCE Minsk Group is now considered a part of history. He also mentioned that Armenia had been invited to attend the Conference of the Parties (COP), leaving the decision of participation to Armenia. Furthermore, President Stubb extended an invitation to President Aliyev to visit Finland, which was accepted with gratitude. The discus sion also covered various bilateral issues, with both leaders exchanging views on matters of mutual interest.
