Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev addressed a letter to participants of the Second Meeting of Ministers and Heads of Agencies in charge of Family and Social Policy of the Organization of Turkic States. The meeting centered on the theme 'The Role of Women in Modern Society: Sustainable Development and Traditional Values.'
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, In his letter, President Aliyev extended greetings to the attendees, emphasizing the historical and cultural roots shared by the Turkic peoples. He highlighted the foundational role of the family in social order and recognized the significant contributions of women throughout history. Women, he noted, have been moral pillars of the family, defenders of the homeland, and have attained high public positions, contributing to societal progress and the preservation of shared moral values.
President Aliyev underscored the importance of cooperation on family issues and social policy within the Organization of Turkic States, especially in light of current global challenges. He stressed that such collaboration is crucial for both protecting and strengthening family institutions and for fostering sustainable development that aligns with traditional values.
The Azerbaijani leader also pointed out that the state actively supports women's rights and their expanded role in society. He highlighted that Azerbaijani women are actively involved in socio-political processes and are well-represented in state institutions.
President Aliyev expressed confidence that the exchange of views during the meeting would be meaningful and productive, providing a basis for identifying joint objectives and preparing important platforms for cooperation.
